Travel LDS Wedding Photographer: Documenting Temple Sealing Days & Destination Wedding Stories Around the World
Oakland, California Temple
A temple sealing isn’t just a ceremony—it’s a quiet, sacred moment surrounded by the people who matter most. And for many couples today, that experience doesn’t stay in one place. It becomes part of a bigger story: traveling, celebrating, and creating wedding portraits in meaningful locations around the world.
After 4+ years in the photography business, I was planning my own wedding and having such a hard time finding a photographer that understood the unique culture of an LDS wedding that lived or traveled outside of Utah for a reasonable price!
That’s when I decided to specialize in documenting LDS couples from temple sealing days to destination portraits—whether that’s in Utah, across the United States, or in places like Switzerland and the Canadian Rockies for camera shy couples.
My goal is simple:
to help you feel fully present in your wedding day while I take care of preserving every meaningful moment.
I'm a travel LDS wedding photographer based in Provo, UT.
I specialize in helping camera-shy couples feel confident and guided.
You don't need to know how to pose- that's my job.

Travel LDS wedding photography is more than just “taking photos at a temple.”
It usually includes a full experience like:
Temple sealing coverage (where permitted)
Family photos after the sealing
Couple portraits at or near the temple
Bridal or engagement sessions before or after the wedding
Destination wedding or honeymoon photography in a second location
Many of my couples choose to extend their wedding experience beyond the temple itself—into mountains, cities, or travel destinations that feel meaningful to them.
Whether that’s a quiet session in Utah Valley or an alpine lake in Canada, the goal is the same:
tell the full story of your beginning together.
Portland, Oregon
Every LDS wedding day has a natural rhythm to it—peaceful, emotional, and often deeply family-centered.
My approach is designed to honor that.
Instead of overly posed or rushed photography, I focus on:
JOYFUL
TRUE TO COLOR
TIMELESS
Natural, documentary-style storytelling
Calm direction when needed (especially with family portraits)
Helping you stay present instead of stressed
Capturing real interactions, not just staged moments
Your wedding day shouldn’t feel like a photoshoot.
It should feel like your wedding day—with someone there quietly preserving it all.
Jordan River, Utah Wedding Bridals
One of the things I love most about LDS weddings is how centered they are on relationships.
The moment you exit the temple, everything shifts—there’s relief, joy, hugs, laughter, and often a sense of peace that’s hard to describe.
Those are the moments I pay closest attention to.
Because years from now, you won’t just want photos of what your wedding looked like—you’ll want to remember what it felt like.

Destination LDS Weddings & Travel Photography
For the couples looking for a photographer that understands the unique, sacred, and joyful union and travels outside of Utah, I gotcha girl!
Some of the places I’ve photographed or worked around include:
Calgary Alberta + Banff
Virginia
Italy
Greece
Georgia
Lake Tahoe
Lake Louise and the Canadian Rockies
Utah Valley and surrounding LDS temples
Lake Tahoe, California
Each destination brings something different:
quiet mountain mornings
European architecture and history
dramatic landscapes for bridal portraits
slower, more intentional wedding timelines
These kinds of weddings naturally create space for deeper, more meaningful photography.
From helping you plan the shot list for group & family photos to specializing in camera-shy couples, I make sure your photography experience feels seamless, so that you can soak in the begin of your forever!
Here’s what I typically help with:
Before your wedding
Wedding Guides (Outfit Guides, Location Guides, etc.)
Location suggestions (especially for travel or temple weddings)
Access to my “Family & Group Photos” spreadsheet as you plan!
Oakland, California Wedding Photographer
After your wedding
Editing that focuses on timeless, true-to-color imagery
A couple of photos in 24 hours
A gallery that tells your full story from start to finish in 3 weeks!
My goal is always the same:
so you can focus on being present, not on managing the photography.
Most of my couples are not just looking for wedding pictures.
They’re looking for:
someone who understands temple wedding logistics
someone who respects the sacred nature of the sealing
someone who can travel and adapt to destination timelines
someone who can make them feel comfortable in front of the camera
someone who helps the day feel calm instead of chaotic
If that’s you, you’re exactly who I love working with.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you travel for LDS weddings?
Yes. I specialize in destination temple weddings and travel for both temple sealings and portrait sessions.
Can you photograph inside the temple?
Photography inside the temple is not permitted, but I document everything outside before and after the sealing, including family and couple portraits.
Do we need a destination location planned?
Not at all. Some couples only need temple coverage, while others add engagement, bridal, or travel sessions. I help you plan what makes the most sense for your vision.
